The many sides of Björk
Björk does jazz. And it's good. Her voice rings out like on no other album, with all the shrieks and screams she's known for. Here lies the definite proof of her vocal prowess. None of the electronic treatments of her other work coat the music. Most of the songs feature only voice, bass, drums, and piano; the usual jazz quad arrangement.
Guðmundur Ingolfsson, on the piano, did al the
arrangement. He was one of the world's best Jazz pianists but as for many geniuses he died in the peak of his career. This is a must have music

Sigur Rós, The modern Icelandic Vikings

If you're into electronic music and lean towards more original and less commercial, yet highly listenable music, you need to check out this group. And there is no better place to start than this CD. Forget the comments about "not all tracks are good." The worst track on this album is easily better than 90% of the music produced in the last two decades.

Mezzoforte
In Spring 2008, five members of Mezzoforte traveled to a remote summer

cabin in southern Iceland to start writing the music that would eventually
become Volcanic, their first studio album in over seven years.
From those tentative beginnings, surrounded by the awesome power of
nature, the band has produced an album inspired by their native land, but
